I heard Audis can be pretty reliable if well maintained.

Nothing to say about reliability, because it doesn’t have any.

Of course, I kid. They can be bulletproofed to a certain extent, and I’ve seen several pass 200k with fastidious maintenance on original turbos.

The reality is this...

You can drive a fun and interesting car, a car that will always have someone yapping about its questionable reliability..

...or you can drive a Camry.

I know what my choice is.

Horribly is an exaggeration. Some have gotten them up to 130k with only having to do a timing belt change.

Haha, accidentally bagged Allroads are a very common species. There are quite a few well maintained examples rolling around. But in general, an especially high maintenance car unless you have the patience and enthusiasm to keep one in great shape.

Where I used to work there were two early Allroads in very similar colors. I thought they were the same car for a solid week, haha.

Yesssir! Livens the car up significantly. B5s are really solid cars, they’ve aged very nicely IMO. I’ve got no creaks, squeaks or strange cabin noises or vibrations and the fit and finish is much better than a good amount of cars 10 years newer than it.

I also have to get some better shots of the interior, haha.

Well If its been taken care of, then its not too bad. I wasnt an abusive owner, the problems I dealt with were age related (fuel pump, suspension, coolant hoses, hoses in general etc.) Noting that wasnt fixable, or that there wasnt a DIY out there on it.
